Initial Fairing Compound Applied
Before fairing was finished, an entire quart of Evergreen fairing compound was used. Jim Jessie helped me get the mixing ratios of putty to hardner right.

Note the rust stains. Additionally, the sealant was powdery, and previously drilled and abandoned holes were inadequately treated.

Hi Uncle John and crew,
I'm a little behind as I didn't get your blog address until this past weekend. I heard all about your updates and the race. Yesterday at my office job as I was doing some paperwork. I would do 2-3 files then read your blog and catch up on all the happenings. Enjoyable to read as always. (Especially now that I am laid up with a broken foot. so it's a bit of light reading instead of homework. LOL)
I give my best wishes and congratulations to you and the crew; and a "speedy recovery" to Music and like Aunt Karen I hope damages aren't too bad.
